THE MYSTERIOUS CHILD AFFLICTED WITH AVOIDABLE PAIN.

  "My people perish for lack of knowledge." You have come across that saying right? Yeah!!

"Ogbanje", the mysterious child that dies within a certain time frame and then returns to be born and dies again. This belief lingered for years and it sure destroyed homes.

  Our forefathers made mistakes that cost them a whole lot.

Ignorance feasted on them and no one to show them the light, so they wallowed in darkness and bore the pains and bruises thereof. They believed that "Ogbanje" keeps coming back to torment their lives. 

  Most of our fore parents went as far as giving the next born child a mark or some cuts on their bodies in order to stop the reincarnation. 

I'm sure you must have been told such stories. Yeah I heard a whole lot of them and even got to see for myself such cuts on some folks close to me.

Even, some of them cut off a finger or toe of the child believing a stop has been put to the torments. Outrageous and barbaric acts indeed. Who do we blame?

  Little did they know that the cause of most of the infant mortality were as a result of their genotype, not necessarily the made up changeling myth. 

Sickle cell anaemia was the undiscovered enemy that maimed them all along and because knowledge was far from them, they went with the belief of tormenting spirit child. 

  Now I ask you, "Do you know your genotype?" 

Genotype is the hereditary information that was given to an individual by their parents. It is the genetic type of an offspring.

  How determined and willing are you to let go of that partner whose genotype doesn't tarry with yours instead of bringing kids into this world to suffer them? 

Still single? Please know your genotype and that of your intending spouse before you tie the nuptial knot. It's very crucial and saves you both lots of pains, regrets, emotional down turns and even worse.
